Wheels on boats

Post by bushsong » Wed Jun 27, 2018 6:25 pm

G'day all,

Just acquired a new set of wheels for the tinnie to make things easier to move around. I swear it costs more to put the bloody thing on a roof than to buy three trailers!

Anyway, just curious to find out if anyone travels with wheels on their tinnie. Seems you can wind them up pretty tight, but they may not stay that way. Also thinking about the possibility of strapping them on around the tinnie as well. It would certainly save some room in the back of the ute. I've seen quite a few tinnies on rooftops with wheels on but it's only now that I've got some I'm concerned about the safety aspect.

Cheers,

Ric

G'day and welcome bushsong (Ric).

Wonderful to see an avatar of a real person. I just hope you are not a girl ;-)

Hopefully the tinnie guys will soon come along with some help :)

G'day Ric and welcome

I went with a different option and permanently mounted my wheels to the dinghy transom - same result and versatility with no storage issues
