OT,
Check your map; Coolalinga is in the Northern Territory; we could possibly cross paths in the area between Cloncurry and Normanton in a couple of weeks.
However, she would probably welcome any "friends" of mine.

Just travelled from Lake Elpingstone to Dingo via Moranbah, Dysart and Middlemount total of about 300klm and saw two caravans and they were on the Fitzroy Drv road. Very interesting drive with about 20klm of very good dirt.
Never thought you could travel on sealed road for those distances and see two vans this time of the year.

Darwin to Dunmarra yesterday because the caravan parks in Katherine were full; we got the last powered site.
We battled head winds down to Tennant Creek this morning and found that the caravan park here was filling up.
Tomorrow we head east to Camooweal, then Cloncurry before going north to Nornamton.
All is well!

Soon to leave busy Lightning Ridge and move on to Roma, Capella and Charters Towers.

It was 25 degrees when we arrived a few days ago but the last couple of days reached only 16 or 17 so still too cold for me :(

At Kununurra now but after Darwin we camped at a beautiful camp called Robin Falls not far from Adelaide River.

Went into Jubdarra/Gregory NP just out of Timber Creek, the camp was not really that good for caravans but fitted in at Bullita Homestead camp ground.

Big Horse camp just out of Timber Creek full by about 2:00PM so moved on.

Had a stop at Keep River NP very nice place but again you need to be early this time of the year. I was here about five years ago and virtually had the place to our selves.

Decided to have a look at Zebra Rock Mine Camp, what a great place and the sun set tour on Lake Argyle is the best we have ever done. You are on the East side of Lake Argyle and can boat through wet lands.

Lake Argyle always good.

We are now well past all those places.
After visiting a son in Malanda, for a couple of days we have traveled to Springsure, Qld, via Greenvale and Ballyando Crossing.
We might make it to Brisbane (home) by Sunday morning.
After traveling nearly 18000 kms, through Qld, WA and NT, we have found that the roads in WA are excellent, NT roads are excellent and Qld roads are............!

Freezing cold & very windy here at home beside Port Phillip Bay. Can't wait to get away on our next trip

Preparing our caravan for a two month outback QLD trip starting in three weeks time, new tyres & wheel bearings etc.
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts, of beauty rich & rare.
