DT.....the valve is just normal thread......when I make my choofers..I just put the base ring in vice and unscrew the valve.....sometimes it takes a bit of pipe on the stilsans for extra leverage

normal threaded water pipe screws back in where valve was

good info I thought they might have been using some truth syrup like some super lock-tight these days... :)
