With spring well and truly in the air, it’s a perfect time to get back on the healthy bandwagon, after a winter of heavy, hearty meals. Here are five simple things you can do, even whilst on the road.
1. Start the day with a squeeze of fresh lemon in a glass of warm water. This kick starts a healthy digestion and helps to eliminate unwanted toxins.
2. Avoid processed foods. Choose the healthy alternative such as sandwiches on wholemeal bread, olive oil and balsamic as salad dressing, or pack a healthy homemade lunch.
3. Drink at least two litres of water a day. (Be sure to slot in more toilet stops on the itinerary!)This also helps to flush out toxins as well as cleansing the lymphatic system).
4. Snack on fresh fruit and raw nuts. This keeps the munchies at bay so you don’t make the pit stop at the big M.
5. Replace coffee with green tea. I know, I know it sounds crazy but your adrenal system will love you, and hey, there’s always decaf. |
