I like to be organised. Just ask the guys in the office. Just ask my family. Some say I am a little too organised. But I don’t think there is such a thing – especially when it comes to travelling. Even more so when you’ve got to pack a load of gear into a relatively small space – your RV! Here are a bunch of ideas that might help you get organised!
In The Kitchen
- Label all your canisters well and place them on non-slip matting to keep them in the right spot.
- Under the sink, put all your cleaning liquids in the one basket.
- At many supermarkets and hardware stores you can buy handy hooks to hang tea towels.
In The Bathroom
- Keep all your toiletries neat and tidy with a storage caddy. You can buy ones that suction to the wall, or hang from the shower head. You can also get ones for the vanity for your toothbrush.
- If your van didn’t come with towel hooks, fix some on the back of the bathroom door and other convenient locations.
In The Bedroom
- At storage stores, such as Howards Storage World, you can buy drawer dividers. These are great for utensils in the kitchen, but also for separating socks and undies in beside drawers.
- To make the most of space in the wardrobe, buy coat hangers with multiple tears. You can hang up to five shorts/skirts/pants in the same area as one.
In The Boot
- Store items in labeled plastic storage boxes. This makes things easy to find and keeps everything stacked neatly.
- Make the most of available space and fix hooks and clasps to the boot walls for things like hoses, cords and tools.
